Dr. Alex Barbey has been the medical director for the largest global oil and gas service company for more than 25 years, managing day to day international health care in over 100 countries, for more than 120,000 employees including 15,000 international employees and their families.
Based in France, Dr. Barbey travelled extensively to more than 100 countries. Dr. Barbey played a leading role in defining health standards in the oil and gas industry during his years as chairman of the International Oil and Gas Producer's Association and co-chairman of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Health committee.
American and French, trained in the USA (University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wisconsin) and France (University of Paris), Dr. Barbey practiced family medicine and clinical oncology for nearly 20 years before working in the oil and gas industry.
